A 12-year-old boy wanted for questioning in the slaying of a 31-year-old man and who had reportedly been on the run since the fatal shooting has been arrested some 400 miles away from where the shooting occurred.

According to WOWT News 6, the boy reportedly vanished after Jamymell Ray was found fatally shot in a park in Omaha, Neb., June 29. The news site reports that the boy; his 17-year-old brother, Jamar Milton; and a 15-year-old, Shuntayvious Primes-Willis, had arranged a deal to buy marijuana from Ray. Ray and a friend, Charles Fisher, 30, met the boys in the park, and police say the transaction turned deadly. Ray was shot dead. Fisher was hit and was released from the hospital earlier this week.

Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine told the news station that all three boys were allegedly carrying weapons.

Both Milton and Primes-Willis have been charged with first-degree murder and were denied bond Tuesday during a brief court appearance, NBC News reports.
