My America is single, without a president and currently trying to find itself, but there’s a man in the White House who is threatening the status of many that inhabit our “great” country.

Tangerine Mussolini has made it his mission to attack the lives of immigrants in this country, presumably because he views them as a threat. As we know, he recently threatened to try and throw them out of the country.

Rihanna has always taken pride in her immigrant roots, so this news hits close to home. With her new Fenty line, she shared a message of support directed at Donald Trump.

The T-shirt bears the word “immigrant,” which Rihanna describes as a “prideful word.”

“Wherever I go, besides Barbados, I am an immigrant,” Rihanna recently told The Cut. “But I think it’s important for people to remember, if you love me, everyone out here is just like me. A million Rihannas out there, getting treated like dirt,” says the island native.

“You have to be as loud as you can and raise as much awareness,” Rihanna told The Root in reference to America’s immigration issues. She concluded by charging us to put our heads together and being as loud as possible to get politicians to listen to our concerns.

Rihanna, a woman of and for the people.
