Watch: Rhoda ‘On the Scene’ Young Talks Internet Fame and Going Viral

Hopefully you’re not sleeping under a rock, because if you are, you may have missed the greatest thing on the internet since Sweet Brown, Antoine Dodson or the Bella Noche girls. Rhoda Young, a Norfolk, Va., resident, is on a mission to always be “on the scene in this bitch.” Earlier this month, Young posted a live video on her Facebook page of herself headed to the scene of a fire in a local neighborhood, and it was everything.

From cursing her husband out to help her flip the camera from selfie mode so she could shoot the fire, to listening in on the fire marshal’s walkie-talkie, to learning the word “allegedly” and never letting it go, Young is internet gold.

We reached out to her to have a chat about that infamous day she solved the arson and what it takes to be on the scene, and even asked her to work for The Root. Fingers crossed that she accepts! Check out our hilarious interview with Young in the video above.
