Jones is Tobias Whale on the CW’s Black Lightning. He’s an ex-politician-turned-underworld boss of the fictional city of Freeland, and his gang is the 100.
“We all have an inner villain inside of us,” Jones continued. “We also have many layers of us that, you know, we let out sometimes, and sometimes we make conscious choices to suppress.”
From his menacing laugh to his death stare, Jones has the villain thing down. We sat down with the rapper-turned-actor to see how to master the art of playing a villain.
