On Friday night, former NFL player Kirk Morrison shared a powerful photo showing San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick kneeling during the national anthem while players from Castlemont High School in Oakland, Calif., lay on their backs with their hands up.

Morrison also shared a powerful video of the coach addressing the Knights before they took the field as Kaepernick looked on (Editor’s note: NSFW):

During the same week that Keith Lamont Scott’s and Terence Crutcher’s shooting deaths by police continue to rock the nation, the Kaepernick effect is going strong. Members of the WNBA joined the protest, as did college football players from Michigan State.
