On Tuesday, Barr compared former presidential adviser Valerie Jarrett to a Planet of the Apes monkey and someone from the Muslim Brotherhood; she eventually issued an apology after facing backlash online. Many people are wondering whether this will be the straw that breaks the camel’s back and causes ABC to give Barr’s show the boot, especially since the ABC Entertainment Group’s president is a black woman.

More people wondered how Barr’s co-stars would react to yet another racist outburst from her, but it seems that Sykes is the first person to distance herself from the problematic actress.
