Just days after meeting President Barack Obama and the first lady, McLaurin celebrated her 107th birthday by hanging out with the Harlem Globetrotters and showing them some of her basketball skills.

It seems as though McLaurin has a thing for the Globetrotters because she celebrated her 108th birthday with them again this week at the LAMB Public Charter School in Washington, D.C.

Not only did she hang out with the male players, but she also got to meet her first female Globetrotter, Hoops Green.

“It’s beautiful for them to play together,” McLaurin said of Green. “When I came along, you couldn’t play with boys, even in school.”

The Harlem Globetrotters are scheduled to play 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C., and they donated 108 tickets in McLaurin’s name to underprivileged youths.
