Usher Hit With $20,000,000 Lawsuit Alleging He Infected Woman With Herpes

Last week a woman identified only as Jane Doe filed a $10 million lawsuit against R&B singer Usher claiming that she had unprotected sex with him and he did not inform her about allegedly having herpes. Many wondered if that woman was tested for the virus, and now it’s been revealed that she’s tested positive.

The anonymous woman has now upped the ante on her lawsuit and is suing Usher for $20 million, with claims for “emotional harm, medical bills and punitive damages,” according to TMZ.

Usher is said to have contracted the virus between 2009 and 2010 during the middle of his divorce from his first wife, Tameka Foster. Ironically, a woman who settled a lawsuit with Usher last year for $1.1 million in a similar action, claiming that the singer gave her herpes, is allegedly the same woman with whom Foster claimed her now ex-husband cheated on her.

According to WebMd, most people who have herpes don’t even realize it, and even wearing a condom may not protect a person from infecting their partner.

Usher, who remarried in 2015 to Grace Miguel, has not commented on the lawsuits.
