Parents are up in arms over a plan by Provincetown, Mass., school officials to distribute condoms in elementary school, even allowing first-graders to have them. School superintendent Beth Singer says that students need to be informed and better prepared. The plan will begin in September and will require students to have a "heart-to-heart" with counselors that will include a discussion about abstinence. We're all for information, but condoms for first-graders seems a bit extreme. Condoms for demonstration? Yes. Condoms for penetration? No.
