Tyler Perry is helping an Atlanta mother who is grieving over the deaths of her 15-month-old twins after, authorities say, their father left them in a hot car.

Breal Ellis’ twins, Alaynah and Ariel North, died last week after police say Asa North left them in a car after he had allegedly been drinking. According to reports, North tried to revive the twins by placing them in the water of a kiddie pool. In an interview with WSBTV, Ellis said her children didn’t deserve to die.
“I was with them every day and the one day I left … I just want to tell them I’m sorry. They didn’t deserve to die like that or to die, period, but I know they’re in heaven.”
A GoFundMe page was set up to help Ellis with funeral expenses, but Perry stepped up and offered to pay for the funeral.
Asa North has been charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter and two counts of reckless conduct.
