If you’re scratching your head wondering just what that is, it’s been described as being “like a fancy prom — except in a museum.” Known as the Met Gala for short, the event begins the Costume Institute spring exhibition. There is a theme each year, and attendees — consisting of basically the hottest designers and celebs today — typically incorporate that theme into their fashion for the night. 

This year’s theme was “punk,” and Twitter had a lot to say about who killed it and who missed the mark. Anne Hathaway and Taylor Swift proved to be faves, while everyone pretty much hated Kim Kardashian’s choice of outfit.
