Twerking isn’t just a dance anymore; it’s a battleground where cultural appropriation and double standards are razor sharp and aimed at black necks. And on top of it all, there is a layer of fetishism, of voyeurism, that constantly reminds black people of their otherness, as with this ABC article offering a “scientific” look at twerking: What are we?
