It’s no secret that President Donald Trump has had a cantankerous relationship with the press. Less than a year into his second term, he’s already had some high-profile feuds with major outlets, including the Associated Press for refusing to refer to the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America and CBS and Paramount over what he believed to be a “deceptively edited” interview with him, which aired on “60 Minutes.”

This time, the president is pissed at TIME magazine because of the cover photo they chose for a feature story highlighting his work on the recent peace deal in Gaza. The picture, taken from a lower angle, makes his hair appear thinner and shows some extra flaps of skin around is neck. Although the story was mostly positive, the pic had Trump so heated that he felt the need to share his frustration with his followers on Truth Social in a 1:46 am post on October 14.
“Time Magazine wrote a relatively good story about me, but the picture may be the Worst of All Time. They “disappeared” my hair, and then had something floating on top of my head that looked like a floating crown, but an extremely small one. Really weird! I never liked taking pictures from underneath angles, but this is a super bad picture, and deserves to be called out. What are they doing, and why?” he posted.
Social media jumped at the chance to share their thoughts.
On TikTok Tyreak Told You said he wasn’t a fan of the cover shot, agreeing that when it comes to the president’s angles, this one ain’t it.
“You see how he tucked his neck flaps into the collar? He probably should have just let them hang out because this, you look like a turkey,” he said. “Yeah, Trump, these people really don’t respect you, got us looking all up into your nostrils.”
On X, one user took the liberty of doing a little post editing to make the president’s picture more flattering.
“Time magazine did a poor job on it’s cover of President Trump, so we fixed it,” someone captioned a post of an AI-generated pic of a President Trump that makes him look like the president straight out of a Marvel movie.
California governor Gavin Newsom, who trolls Trump on the regular, didn’t miss his opportunity to poke fun at the president on X, suggesting in a post from his press office that the president would have preferred the people at TIME blur out the extra skin under his chin.
