Quentin Tarantino recently said in an interview with the New York Times that he couldn’t care less about his black critics: “When the black critics came out with savage think pieces about Django, I couldn’t have cared less. If people don’t like my movies, they don’t like my movies, and if they don’t get it, it doesn’t matter.”

That loaded quote shocked many, but it should come as no surprise because the famous director has always been known to have some very interesting thoughts about black people.
In 2012 Tarantino made an appearance on BET’s 106th & Park alongside the stars of Django—Samuel L. Jackson, Kerry Washington and Jamie Foxx—and used some type of “ghetto” accent and weak stereotypes to talk about black people. Watch the cringeworthy appearance for yourself:
