The exhibition, which has had more than 180,000 visitors since its May 4 opening, boasts five thematic fashion collections that extend from 1992 to McQueen’s first posthumous compilation in 2010. The exhibit opened two days after its curator, Andrew Bolton, released a similarly named book recounting the legacy of the designer’s career.

“Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty” runs until Aug. 7 in the Met’s Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Exhibition Hall.
