Authorities say that they are โ€œstill trying to ascertain the number of injured because they are in various hospitals,โ€ police spokesperson Othman Abubakar told the Associated Press.

While no one has claimed responsibility for the bombing, the terrorist group Boko Haram, which has been held responsible for several similar attacks, is being eyed as a suspect in the case.

As AP notes, the sick and twisted extremist group has been using teenagers and young womenโ€”many of whom have been abductedโ€”as bombers.
