I read a joint some time ago about a study that suggested that sexual lyrics make kids horny, as opposed to, say, HORMONES. Looking for reasons to explain teen sexual behavior, the culprit, some would have you believe, is obviously pop music.

There is always some new reason to demonize popular musicβ€” rap in particular β€” and this seems to be the latest. If merely listening to Snoop Dogg can make your daughter go out and drop it like it's hot, then you failed. Period. Parent instill values in thier children β€” or at least, they used to. Back when black music was called race music, this was also the rationale: that the jungle rhythms brought out primal urges.

Do any of you think that music, in and of itself, has the power to make kids sexual?
