Black folks showed up and showed out at what has become the fashion event of the season—the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic—on Saturday. We may not be coming en masse to the royal wedding, but this is the next-best thing, on the East Coast, at least.
Pastels, fitted suits, florals and preppy styles were all the rage this year as people sipped on bubbly at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, N.J., with the Champagne-maker’s iconic bright-orange color as a backdrop pop.
