Even with Bill and Camille Cosby’s donation of $20 million to Atlanta’s Spelman College, the university decided Friday to officially sever ties with the couple.

The college has discontinued its Cosby-endowed professorship created by the 1988 donation of $20 million. Last year the professorship was suspended as drug and rape stories regarding Bill Cosby resurfaced, but Friday, the college decided to end the program permanently.
According to USA Today, the related funds from the professorship have been returned to the Clara Elizabeth Jackson Carter Foundation, established by Camille Cosby.
"The William and Camille Olivia Hanks Cosby Endowed Professorship at Spelman College has been discontinued and related funds have been returned to the Clara Elizabeth Jackson Carter Foundation," said Spelman spokeswoman Audrey Arthur in a statement.
The Cosby family has deep ties with the college; in addition to its monetary support, two Cosby daughters attended the university, according to the New York Times.
