Spain defeated the Netherlands in nail-biting fashion to win the 2010 World Cup. It is the first win for Spain, who defeated the Netherlands with a goal in the last minutes of extra time. Andres Iniesta collected a pass from Cesc Fabregas to fire home from close range, winning the game and the most anticipated televised sporting event in recent history. This is the first time that a European team has won a World Cup outside of Europe. Say what you will, but the 2010 World Cup delivered in grand fashion.
