New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman says that while U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson was the CEO of Exxon Mobile Corp., he used an email alias to discuss the risks that climate change posed.

Tillerson, whose middle name is Wayne, used the email alias and unimaginative faux porn name “Wayne Tracker” from 2008 to 2015 to “send and receive materials regarding important matters,” including climate change, CNN Money reports.
The alias was discovered during an investigation into the company to determine whether it misled investors about climate change.
“Despite the company’s incidental production of approximately 60 documents bearing the ‘Wayne Tracker’ email address, neither Exxon nor its counsel have ever disclosed that this separate email account was a vehicle for Mr. Tillerson’s relevant communications at Exxon,” Senior Enforcement Counsel John Oleske wrote in a letter viewed by CNN Money.
Exxon confirmed that the “Wayne Tracker” email address was in the company’s system and was used by the CEO.
“The email address [email protected] is part of the company’s email system and was put in place for secure and expedited communications between select senior company officials and the former chairman for a broad range of business-related topics,” spokesman Alan T. Jeffers said in statement viewed by CNN Money.
According to the news site, Tillerson—or should I say Tracker, Wayne Tracker—now has significant pull over matters related to climate change as secretary of state.
“He could, for example, negotiate a U.S. exit from the Paris climate agreement. During confirmation hearings, the former oil man refused to answer questions about whether Exxon had ever downplayed or obscured climate research,” CNN Money reports.
