The brother of the man who opened fire on concertgoers at a Las Vegas country music concert has been detained by authorities on charges related to child pornography, according to an anonymous source.

The Los Angeles Times reports that a source “who was not authorized to speak publicly about the case” says that Bruce Paddock, brother of Stephen Paddock, was taken into custody in North Hollywood, Calif., on Wednesday morning. The Los Angeles Police Department confirms that police detained a man in the 5300 block of Laurel Canyon Boulevard, but have not released the individual’s name.

On Oct. 1, Stephen Paddock reportedly took 23 weapons into a room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and killed at least 58 people. It has been called “the deadliest mass shooting in modern American history.”

It is not.
