I’m going to assume it was an act of kindness from Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton and Lt. Gov. Tina Flint Smith when they declared Monday, May 23, “Beyoncé Day,” especially since it happened hours before her Formation tour stop in Minneapolis.

Dayton and Flint praised the singer for her career (pdf) and how she inspires women and girls with the powerful messages in her music. Fox 9 News shared the proclamation to its Facebook page, and boy, were people outraged.
Of course, the “Blue Lives Matter” types were quick to bring up this make-believe anti-police propaganda they’re now believing is part of Beyoncé’s repertoire.
Not to blatantly state the obvious, but a lot of white tears were shed. Too bad more tears of joy were shed at Beyoncé’s sold-out concert in their lovely state.
