DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FORFRIDAY, JANUARY 11, 2013

In the morning, the President will host President Hamid Karzai and his delegation at the White House for bilateral meetings. The President looks forward to welcoming the Afghan delegation to Washington, and discussing our continued transition in Afghanistan, and our shared vision of an enduring partnership between the United States and Afghanistan. The Vice President will also attend the expanded bilateral meeting in the Cabinet Room, which will be closed press. There will be a stills-only pool spray of the restricted bilateral meeting in the Oval Office.

In the afternoon, the President and President Karzai will meet for a working lunch in the private dining room. The Vice President will also attend. This lunch is closed press.

Later in the afternoon, the President and President Karzai will hold a joint press conference. The press conference in the East Room is open press.
