Roker tweeted about his taxi experience and stated that it’s still not uncommon for taxis to bypass black people.

He immediately filed a complaint with the New York City Taxi & Limousine Commission, and on Tuesday the driver in question, Mahabur Rahman, admitted to refusing Roker service and was hit with a $500 fine, according to NBC. It was the driver’s second fine for refusing a passenger service.
