The USCD noose was found on campus at the Giesel Library.  The strong implications are that it is associated with racial tensions on campus.

The UCSD Police Department has stated that there have been no eyewitnesses of the UCSD noose placement in the library.

There is a protest rally scheduled at 8 AM PST to protest the UCSD noose at the Library Walk.

A photo of the noose can be seen here.
