Fox News has reportedly let go of liberal analyst Marc Lamont Hill for, ostensibly, having opinions that did not jibe with the level-headed bunch bankrolled by Rupert Murdoch. In fact, it was Murdoch himself who announced Hill’s ouster at a shareholder’s meeting on Friday. According to Mediaite:

Interestingly, the news was broken by News Corp. Chairman Rupert Murdoch at the companies stockholders meeting today, reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
Murdoch made the announcement after a shareholder asked about Hill’s “reputation of defending cop killers and racists.”
If you’re waiting for more of an explanation, there isn’t one at the moment. Neither side is saying very much in that regard.
