Police intervened in a confrontation at a Florida restaurant that appeared to be over a digital tablet and realized that the man involved allegedly molested the daughter of one of the women, who were graciously allowing him to “catch these hands.”

According to Jacksonville’s WJXT-TV, police arrived at a Lake City, Fla., McDonald’s on Tuesday to find 54-year-old George Avery fighting with two women in the parking lot over a tablet. The police separated the women and tried to determine the reason for the disturbance.
One of the women, who said she was Avery’s girlfriend, told the cops that she was playing a game on the tablet when she discovered a video of Avery involved in a sexual act with another person. She called her friend over to see if they could figure out who Avery was cheating with.
“I’m the one that found it and I didn’t look at it good. I thought it was some other woman,” Avery’s girlfriend said.
When the two women inspected the footage, seemingly shot by Avery himself, they determined that the other person in the video was the friend’s 9-year-old daughter. So, of course, they went to confront him about it at his job at the local McDonald’s.
That’s when things got ugly. So ugly, in fact, that bystanders thought it might be best to call the cops. When the law-enforcement officers arrived, they broke up the fight and interviewed everyone involved.
Police, along with the Department of Children and Families, concluded that it was indeed Avery in the video and that he had initiated sexual contact with the child in question three or four times. A further investigation determined that the video was filmed over the most recent Thanksgiving holiday weekend and that Avery even smiled at the camera during the act.
Avery was arrested and charged with sexual battery of a child, child abuse and possession of child pornography. He is being held on a $1 million bond.
His girlfriend said that he is never welcome in her home again.
