When two-year-old Parker Curry stood stunned before forever first lady Michelle Obamaโs portrait in the National Portrait Gallery in March of this year, the image instantly went viral.
โ[She] believes Michelle Obama is a queen, and she wants to be a queen as well,โ her mother told CNN at the time.
Well, this Halloween, Parker got her wish, dressing up in a miniature version of the patchwork Milly dress worn by Obama in the portrait, and earning a well-deserved shoutout from her favorite first lady.
According to CNN, when asked what she wanted to be for Halloween this year, the adorable homage was apparently the now 3-year-old Parkerโs idea.
โWe asked her a few times, โAre you sure?โโ Jessica Curry told the network. Parkerโs response? โโYes, I do. I want to be Michelle Obama.โโ
And, as luck would have it, there already someone willing and able to make her Halloween dream come true. Alisha Welsh, who runs the New York, family-based Magnolia Lake Childrenโs Clothing, had previously offered to make Parker a replica of Mrs. Obamaโs dress when she saw her photo last spring. For Halloween, she gifted a version to the youngster.
All that was left was for Parker to strike the first ladyโs thoughtful pose and โ as Mrs. Obama confirmedโ she nailed it.
Of course, this is not the first time Parkerโs come in contact with her โqueen.โ After Mrs. Obama caught wind of Parkerโs viral photo, the two met up within days for a little impromptu dance party.
As for Parker, we love the fact that she has such an elegant icon to look up toโand hope she knows sheโs a little queen, too.
