Before Sinead O’Connor turned the song into a hit, Prince recorded the tune at the Eden Prairie, Minn., warehouse during sessions for his album Around the World in a Day. The Purple One played every instrument on the track aside from saxophone and some backing vocals, according to Variety.

The video that accompanies the track features Prince practicing choreography during the same studio sessions from the recording and will be available as a limited edition picture disk at an online pop-up store, PrinceHitNRun.com.

OK, you can cry now.
