Idris Elba will be playing a villain in The Fast and The Furious spinoff, Hobbs and Shaw, in which he’ll be acting alongside Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham.

Johnson and Statham will be reprising their roles as special agent Luke Hobbs and criminal mastermind Deckhard Shaw, according to Variety. Production is expected to begin this fall.

Johnson and Statham will be teaming up against Elba, where he’ll be antagonizing the duo. Johnson welcomed Elba to the team on Instagram, noting “Every great hero needs an even greater villain.”

Although Elba will be new to the franchise, this isn’t his first time playing a villain. He appeared in Star Trek Beyond as a villain and voiced Shere Khan in The Jungle Book.

This has been a busy year for Elba. He is currently in production on the Netflix comedy series Turn Up Charlie.
