Slim Thug, Paul Wall, Willie D and Trae the Truth were just some of the rappers who came together to discuss gun violence with Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, according to CW39. But it wasn’t only gun violence that was discussed; the rappers also decided to put their money where their mouths are.

Following in the footsteps of Atlanta rappers T.I. and Killer Mike, Houston’s hip-hop notables headed to Unity Bank in the 3rd Ward to support black businesses and help them flourish.

“Even if we save just one life,” Paul Wall insisted. “It was a success.”
