It all started when Cardi took to Instagram to post a new collaboration with Shein, the popular but notorious fast fashion company. Quickly, her comments began flooding with people who say Shein is not a good look for Cardi.

Less than 24 hours later, Cardi made her way to X Spaces to go off. βPeople say that Iβm surviving off Shein deals and brand deals,β the rapper said on X. βI want to let yβall know I could wake up tomorrow, sign a contract, and have half of $65 million β or half of $70 million β in my bank.β
If youβve been following Cardi over the years, you know she once was the face of other fast fashion companies like Fashion Nova. And now that sheβs a Grammy Award-winning artist, you can imagine just how much her bag has grown.
Even if you canβt imagine Cardiβs wealth, the rapper lined it all out on X sharing she spends about $3 million a month. Not only that, but Cardi went as far as to show a screenshot of her turning down millions of dollars in a potential tour deal.
The deal allegedly detailed that Cardi would be paid $1 million per show for a βtotalβ of $65 million. On top of that, Cardi would receive βhalf the money upfront upon signing the contract.β
βThat was on September of this year, not old s***,β Cardi said. βAnd mind you, this my off-year, by the way.β Although the rapper has dropped hits like βEnough (Miami)β and βBongosβ recently, sheβs been teasing her sophomore album for years. It is expected to drop sometime in 2025, and because of this, Cardi said sheβs being strategic about which contracts she signs.
βI donβt want to take tour deals until I announce my album because when I announce my album I know theyβre going to up it,β she said. βYou have to move smart. You canβt act hungry when youβre not.β
Cardi also took the time to brag about some of her most expensive purchases, including dropping $200,000 on jewelry from celebrity jeweler Eliantte & Co. Additionally, Cardi spent $120,000 with Benny the Jeweler and $65,000 on the luxury resale website Adore the Couture.
The mother of three has brand deals with McDonaldβs, Reebok, Marc Jacobs, Nyx Cosmetics, and more. But enough of the brand deals, Cardi. Weβre ready for new music!
