As the banks, the car manufacturers and the other birds of the nest strain for their morsel of the stimulus package, The Buzz can't help but wonder aboutΒ the basics of businessΒ and the spirit of a capitalist economic system. Let's, for a moment, deliberately oversimplify capitalismΒ for the purpose of argument. The capitalist foundation in America, inΒ its starkest terms, seems to boil down to the ability to successfully trade goods and services with little regulatory intereference from the government. Free trade and all that jazz. If you succeed you win. If you do not, you lose. Right?Β The climate currently stinks of losers. So, The BuzzΒ wonders, if America's economic spirit is rooted around capitalism:Β
Why shouldn't the government let these business enterprises fail?
