Tina Turner’s oldest son, Craig Raymond Turner, has died.
The 59-year-old was pronounced dead at his home in Studio City, Calif. at 12:58 p.m. on Tuesday of an apparent suicide, a spokesperson told ET.
“The call was reported as a suicide, gunshot wound,” the spokesperson said. “The next of kin has been notified. There will be an autopsy done and there is an investigator at the scene.”
Craig, a real estate agent in California, was the son of Tina, who gave birth to him at 18, and Kings of Rhythm saxophonist Raymond Hill. Tina would marry Ike Turner four years later, and Ike Turner would then adopt Craig.
Tina, who has been candid about the abuse she suffered because of Ike Turner, told Oprah back in 2005 that the relationship had a deep impact on Craig who “was a very emotional kid.” (h/t People).
