According to the Associated Press, Mo’ne’s life will be the subject of a Disney Channel movie. Throw Like Mo is currently in development and will tell the story of the 13-year-old’s rise to fame. Last year Mo’ne became the first girl to pitch a shutout in the Little League World Series while playing for Philadelphia’s Taney Dragons. Since then, she’s been making waves in a number of fields, from doing commercials to writing a memoir and also designing sneakers.

Although Mo’ne isn’t starring in the movie, she will be on board as a consultant. The cast and air date have not been named yet.

“A year ago, I never would have thought that Disney Channel would make a movie about me,” Mo’ne said, according to Variety. "I can’t wait to get started, and I hope it will encourage other viewers to believe that dreams really do come true.”
