Kaepernick, 49ers wide receiver Quinton Patton and Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Ricardo Lockette have been in Miami working out at Bommarito Performance Systems since the second week of February, The Root reported earlier.

A woman said that on April 1 around 9 p.m., she visited Kaepernick at the Miami apartment of Lockette in a luxury hotel combined with residences. Patton was also there, she said. Later, after she found herself mysteriously at a hospital, police began investigating a “suspicious incident.”

No charges have been filed, but Kaepernick took to Twitter to defend himself against innuendo:
