Texture on the Runway—founded by Naturally Curly—featured braids, afros, up-dos, and locs as styled by some of our favorite brands: Cantu, Carol’s Daughter, Cream of Nature, Mielle Organics, SheaMoisture and The Mane Choice. But before the show started, The Root spoke with some models and master stylists to learn about their natural hair journey, and the importance of showcasing natural hair—in all of its glory—on the runway.
