Author Natalie Hopkinson, contributing editor to The Root, brings the remarkable musical tradition from the nation’s capital to New Orleans with the book-signing reception for her latest tome, Go-Go Live: The Musical Life and Death of a Chocolate City. And of course, to pay homage to the late Godfather of Go-Go, Chuck Brown’s music will be blasting through the speakers all night. Admission is free, so don’t miss out!
