During a trip to Southfield, Michigan, notorious food critic Keith Lee gave a harsh review of a restaurant called Lillie Bell’s Cuisine. In a clip that has now gone viral, Lee literally gagged on the greens he tried.

Lee stated that he had gotten a DM requesting he try out Lillie Bell’s Cuisine. He decided to go and spent around $90. Lee stated that the hour and a half wait was “extensive.”
He eventually bought three plates for his family consisting of turkey chops, chicken wings, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, greens and a few other items. Before tasting the greens, he gave a firm warning about what kind of critic he is.
“I’ve always stood on honesty and transparency, but at some point coming up, I wasn’t able to be as constructive as I would have liked to be, but my intentions were honest, and I repeat as always, I don’t mean no harm. This is one of the most roller coaster reviews I’ve done.”
Lee called several of the items extremely well seasoned— until he got to the greens. He gagged on them right before spitting them out. “To be honest with you, that’s one of the worst things I’ve had in a long time. It’s extremely pungent, it’s strong, it’s a taste that don’t taste like greens,” Lee said.
Of course, it took Black twitter no time to do its thing. One user wrote “Nah, Keith Lee gagging and spitting out the food is crazy. What the hell did they put in those greens???”
Another user called XLogicxl responded, “They might as well close up shop now, because that place is done.”
After tasting the greens, Lee said: “I’ve no idea what that is, to be honest with you. I don’t mean no harm, but that’s a zero out of ten if you ask me. To be honest with you, I don’t really have an appetite to try anything else.”
Lee has become known for keeping things real in his food reviews, even if it gets a little too real. Last year, he went viral for his honest thoughts about the Atlanta restaurant scene which led to the TikTok star receiving death threats.
So far, things haven’t escalated to that level of outrage with his latest review.
