Black Twitter cleared its collective throat, let out a few Do-re-mi-fa-sol-la-tis and belted out its own renditions of songs sung by today’s biggest mainstream pop stars.
The posters flagged their covers using the #TrapCover hashtag, since many of the songs were rapped in the vein of trap music. Apparently this is a form of payback for how mainstream folks with no, well, soul have been butchering songs by urban artists.
