Black TV Watch: Michonne Gets Captured

(The Root) — While those on the East Coast were hunkering down for a Halloween storm named Sandy, Black TV got really scary, too.

666 Park Avenue (Sunday, 10 p.m. ET; ABC)

Highlight: On this episode of 666 Park Avenue, we get a few answers. Sort of. That little girl who's been haunting The Drake? She's the daughter of a murderer who resides in a box. And maybe Gavin isn't the most evil person on the show. He's made a deal with someone else who kidnaps Olivia (Vanessa Williams) and luckily leaves her relatively unharmed on their balcony. Of course, when she wakes up out of her drug-induced slumber, Gavin doesn't share a thing about what just happened. All part of Halloween at the creepiest apartment building ever.

The Walking Dead (Sunday, 9 p.m. ET; AMC)

"Welcome to Woodbury." —The Governor

Highlight: This week, Michonne (Danai Gurira) gets more screen time but few lines of dialogue still. She and Andrea (Laurie Holden) witness a plane crash, and go to investigate. Michonne's captive zombies are breathing way too loudly so she slices off their heads. But guess who discovers them anyway? Merle, the hot-headed racist who caused loads of trouble in season one. He captures them and introduces them to a new community of survivors led by The Governer (David Morrissey), a blood-thirsty character who has stockpiled military-grade weapons to protect his fiefdom at Woodbury. Michonne doesn't trust him, especially since he took her big blade. Andrea, on the other hand, seems intrigued …
