Black Internet Responds to Megan Thee Stallion Opening Her Own Popeyes in Miami Beach

Megan Thee Stallion expands her brand beyond music, diversifying her entrepreneurial and business portfolio with a Popeyes franchise in Miami Beach.

Megan Thee Stallion is expanding her playbook beyond rap with a poppin’ new business venture. While fans will still be dancing to her music, they’ll also be chowing down on sizzling fried chicken coated in her signature sauce — in her brand new brick and mortar business. This latest move means Meg is leveling up from rap superstar to HBIC status in entrepreneurship, and we’re here for it.

While we were partying and popping bottles for the last day of 2025, Thee Stallion took to Twitter to boast about her latest venture as “Thee franchise owner” of Popeyes Chicken, located on Washington Ave in Miami Beach. The move marks her transition from being the face of “Hottie Sauce” to actual commercial property ownership. And if you ask us, it’s a smart move.

To start, the musician’s “Hottie Sauce” took the culture by storm. After the release of her co-developed sauce in October of 2021, she sat with her two besties to dip all kinds of Popeyes meal options into her “spicy sweet” sauce. Needless to say, folks were locked in — with their mouths watering.

Now that the Grammy Award–winning star is stepping beyond the sauce, she’s capitalizing on her “Hot Girl” persona while making a powerful, authentic statement about Black entrepreneurship in a high-profile city like Miami. The venture not only diversifies her income and portfolio, but also helps build a lasting business that aligns with her image as an ambitious, influential force.

In a viral video of her grand opening, she demonstrated strong leadership skills, morale building for her team and a positive brand image. The “Savage” franchise-owner took time to learn every employee’s name, and declared that her location will be a “fun experience” where everyone will “lead with kindness.”

“…I hope this is a fun job, I hope everyone’s having a blast, this is the first Megan Thee Stallion Popeyes,” the rapper encouraged. “I just wanna lead with love, I want everyone to lead with kindness. That’s my main thing, I don’t like that mean shit,” Meg explained to her employees.

Social media was happy to see Meg not treat her employees as one might expect a rich superstar to. “Y’all can never make me hate her she’s so sweet,” one wrote.

Some are making hilarious posts about how different Popeyes might taste at her particular franchise. “when I get my hands on the megan thee stallion popeyes sandwich,” one wrote.

However, some folks had concerns about the location, which folks say has a tendency to draw some chaos, like what happened at a nearby Burger King, according to one Facebook post. That said, Meg’s involvement and positive approach seem to counter these concerns.

If Megan Thee Stallion’s launch video is any indication of how the business is set to run in the future, folks should expect lots of fun, and lots of chicken drenched in “Hottie Sauce.”
