Black Internet Has Hilarious Reaction to Gwyneth Paltrow Helping Astronomer Recover From Coldplay Scandal

Black Internet is having a field day with this one: Paltrow acted as a temporary spokesperson for Astronomer in what might be the best marketing move for the company

The Coldplay concert scandal has been lighting up Black social media, a community that truly knows how to appreciate a good mess, especially if it gives a reason to flex their sharp wit and comedic writing skills. After the chaos caused by Astronomer’s former CEO, Andy Byron, and their Chief People Officer, Kristin Cabot, at that Coldplay show, the Astronomer marketing team might have just cooked up the perfect play to get folks focused back on business and off the drama. And chile, Black Internet is having a field day with this one.

In a hilarious video of Chris Martin, Coldplay’s frontman, ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow, the actress acted as a spokesperson for Astronomer. Instead of completely shying away from the situation, this marketing tactic has made light of the incident.

“Hi, I’m Gwyneth Paltrow. I’ve been hired on a very temporary basis to speak on behalf of the 300+ employees at Astronomer. Astronomer has gotten a lot of questions over the last three days, and they wanted me to answer the most common ones, ” the video starts.

However, instead of answering the questions on the screen (questions about the affair), Paltrow brought the focus back to company values and what Astronomer offers.

“We’ve been thrilled so many people have a newfound interest in data workflow automation,” she continues.

In the comments, Black folks were cracking up at the fact that Astronomer had managed to get Gwyneth Paltrow on board with the idea.

“They basically telling Chris Martin he ain’t sh*t neither,” wrote one user in the comments.

“I love when White people be throwing shade cuz it be the kind of shade that costs millions,” added another user.

“I know they had to drop a bag to get her,” added another user.

“Let’s be real, a lot of people didn’t even know wtf astronomers was until the scandal! This was free marketing at its finest lol,” commented another user.

As the video came to an end, Gwyneth Paltrow set the tone that this would be the final, subtle address to the scandal.

“We will now be returning to what we do best: Delivering game-changing results for our customers. Thank you for your interest in Astronomer.”
