Like, maybe some of the women writers at the Root should start tackling these subjects more because though careful to always specify white women are the sole targets of his wrath,

It should be a case by case basis. I have been there for a false rape accusation. And it’s horrible. At the same time I can think of family members right now that if an accuser came forward, I would absolutely believe the accuser. Believe women to me means take women seriously.

Say this from the rooftops. Blackness is legacy of survival, triumph, and perseverance at every cultural, economic and social intersection. And if that is something that you do not want to claim, shames you, or distance yourself from well that is entirely your business.

Yeah she’s just on some defensive shit. I told her that biracial people insisting on saying they are biracial to black people has had different implications historically. And she dismissed me. So clearly she’s feeling some type of way. The poster is also white so...

I don’t know what’s more annoying, Ralph or his bland suit.

He doesn’t really have to say anything, his work speaks for itself.

Lift one up for them, they’re the driving cultural force in our communities, everyone bites off of them. I’m saying. I think the Judge is obsessed with him like, Fatal Attraction Style. At this point if Meek came out and said the judge said that she would go easy on me if I agree to eat her pussy. I would believe him.

Why is imagining People of Color in the past as human beings with dignity and while harsh circumstances, still with choice and self determination the most unimaginative thing?

I don’t expect her to espouse 2017 values, but the writers of the show do have hindsight and created a situation that is fully a white savior narrative. The best solution? Not have a slave auction. Not have a white power couple purchase a slave. Not use an Asian man as a plot device to gain entry into a party and

But even the examples you named are mostly black men, and one black woman. All women are not white. There are black women, latinas, and East and SE Asian women, Indigenous women and their stories deserve to be told as well. That’s all anyone is saying.
