Last night was the 2024 Grammy Awards! And while the Grammys is an important moment for us to cheer on our favorite Black artists of the year, it’s also a time for us to cheer on the fashion.

Many Black music artists looked simply stunning, but there were quite a few looks that left us more puzzled than praiseful. So now we have to ask: Yes, you might love their music, but do you love their looks?

Coi Leray

Coi Leray should’ve thought twice about this outfit. There’s something missing here, and it’s not the lack of pants. Also, let’s burn the fuzzy jackets, they never look good.

DDG please be serious. What is going on with the fit of this suit? Perhaps he was too busy being a new dad to get to a tailor.

Yolanda Adams

Yolanda Adams usually serves fabulousness and elegance on the red carpet, but this is just a hot mess. Since when did we start pairing sequins, lace, and florals? Lord!

Niecy Nash Betts

The shape of this dress? Yes! The sequin? Heck no. The matching gloves made it even worse.

I thought we left sequin jackets and spiky loafers in the 2010s.

Doja Cat

We can always expect Doja Cat to serve a strange look on a red carpet, but this one takes the cake.

Nene L.A. Shiro

Okay, Easter suit! This pastel purple is a fun color, but the shape missed the mark. Shoutout to Telfar, but the shade doesn’t match. Also, are those Crocs?

Fantasia Barrino

We have been praising Fantasia Barrino for her styling lately! But, this dress just didn’t work out for her. Also, what’s up with the lip ring?

The War and Treaty

Alright, let’s break this down. First of all, these colors next to each other warrant a headache. This purple dress on Tanya Trotter is gorgeous, but the flowers look a bit cheap. This neon on the other hand is just plain bad.

Ice Spice

This look is actually on brand for Ice Spice! The Baby Phat Y2K era aesthetic is cute, but I wish she went for something more glamourous for the night’s festivities!

Allison Russell

The hair and makeup are fabulous! However, this bronzy brown color for this beautifully shaped dress is upsetting!

Markell Washington

Absolutely not. The color is lovely, but that’s about it.

Dawn Richard

All I can think about is the rows of people not being able to see the stage because of this dress. Yes, it’s beautiful, but not for a seated event.

We love Samara Joy over here! However, this dress is simply not it. The whole outfit ages her, even the makeup! Let’s get her in some color!
