It doesn't matter how rich or famous you are when you're shopping while black, and Zendaya Coleman proved that Tuesday in a series of Snapchat videos.

The actress was shopping at a Vons store in Los Angeles when she said she was denied proper service and treated rudely because of her skin color.

β€œSo we just got out of this Vons. Now I am trying to buy a lot of gift cards. … There are certain limits and some things, which is understandable,” Coleman stated in the video. β€œBut the lady that was helping us, I don’t think she was a huge fan of our skin tone.”

A friend who was driving also joined in and said, β€œNot at all! She was rude.”

β€œIn fact,” Coleman continued, β€œI recall her not trying to help us at all, saying that we couldn’t buy the gift cards and then throwing my wallet. I just can’t make this sβ€”t up,” she said. β€œThis is the sβ€”t we deal with,” she said, and her friend added, β€œbecause we’re black.”

Coleman went on to correct what she meant when she said the cashier threw her cards. β€œIt wasn’t like a throw; it was like a toss. She, like, tossed it, with my cards still loose. My cards were loose, so, like, my card fell on the scanner, and she was about to scan the next person!”

β€œShe was like, β€˜You can’t afford this,’ is how she looked at me,” she said with disgust. β€œIt was $400! Long story short, there’s so much progress to be done in our world.”

She concluded with, β€œIt’s all love. Maybe she went on to have a wonderful life.”
