The Oxford English Dictionary has expanded the definition of the word "tweet" to include the action of posting an update on Twitter. This is significant because according to the OED rules, a new word or definition must be in use for at least 10 years before being admitted to its pages. Other tech terms included in the OED update include "mouseover," "crowdsourcing" and "redirect."
