Two Senegalese boys who recently moved to the U.S. had to be taken to the hospital after being severely beaten by several individuals who called them “Ebola,” NBC4 reports.

The African Advocacy Council, which advocates for Africans in New York City’s Bronx borough, is demanding justice after the two brothers, who have been for the U.S. for a month, were attacked Friday afternoon at Intermediate School 38, the news station notes.
According to NBC4, the council sees the attack as an example of the “disrespect and bullying” directed toward Africans since the Ebola outbreak started in West Africa. The group is planning to hold a press conference on Monday to ask schools and city officials to protect students and put an end to the bullying.
Although Senegal has had cases of Ebola since this most recent outbreak, there have been no new cases since late August. The country has since been declared “Ebola free” by the World Health Organization.
