The state Court ofĀ Appeals today issued a defeat to ex-Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrickās lawyers and ruled that a violation of probation hearing can proceed in Wayne County Circuit Court.
Shortly after the ruling, Maria Miller, a spokeswoman for Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy, issued the following statement: āThis order lifts the stay and allows the probation violation hearing to proceed. The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office will have no comment on the order.ā
